How to irritate a three year old

Max: "I'm going to count to ten. One, two, three, four, five, six....."
Me: "Three two seven five eight twelve six four"
Max: "No. You not count, I also need to count by myself."
Me: "OK Max."
Max: "One, two, three, four, five, six....."
Me: "Two five three nine eight one"
Max: "NO! I count! One, two, three, four, five, six....."
Me: "Eighteysevenfortytwothreehundredninetwofour"
Max: " NO! NO! NO! You also NOT COUNT! I COUNT TO TEN BY MYSELF!!!"

Yes, I did finally let him count by himself.

I like to irritate children by mixing the "ABC's" and "Twinkle twinkle little star." Like this,

"abcdefg, how I wonder what you are. qrstuv, like a diamond in the sky. Now I know my ABC's, How I wonder what you are!

I'm pretty sure you can used that same formula (just not with counting, more by mumbling to your self while they are telling you something important) to annoy children of ALL ages, as well as adults. It's like the magic recipe or something.

Hee hee...did he even resort to shaking his little fists?!??!? I love when I get that reaction from my little guys!

You crack me up. Isn't torturing your kids one of the perks of being the mom. As e spek I am putting me feet in my 13 year olds face! He is being rude to his little brother, so he deserves it. It got him to quit!

You should mix it up next time and count in Pig Latin or Roman Numerals.

It was a sad day indeed when Doughbox Bakery lost the "D" in their sign to a tyrranical D thief. Some charitable samaritan tried to help by leaving the Bakery a random "I" to place at the end of their sign to make up for the loss of a D, but that didn't seem to help much.

That WV was too convoluted. I just made up an entire tale of intrigue based on one WV.

This one's better and goes along with the post actually:
foratie

"'Foratie!', blurted out Jillybean in another attempt to send her son into a mathematically induced stupor."

Foratie is often followed by fiveatie.

Oh, you are a wicked one.

I can totally relate to this, I think that's why I like you so much!

Oh how I love to confuse a young child! Sometimes I just wanted to call everything in sight by the wrong name and really mess them up...hmmmm maybe it worked! They are messed up!

Yeah, I have to concur with every one else and say, "Your kids get it from you!"

But, I must add as well that I'm a firm believer in the fact that the only real fun left to adults is to mess with our children's minds.d
