Say what?

The top 5 things I DON'T like to hear at 10:00 p.m. Sunday night.

(drumroll please)

#5 "Hey Mom, I don't have any clean underwear for tomorrow."

#4 "Here's a note from my teacher. I forgot to give it to you on Friday."

#3 "I just remembered that I have some homework to do."

#2 "We're out of milk."

and my #1 least favorite thing to hear at 10:00 p.m. Sunday night................

"I should probably start on my book report. It's due tomorrow."

Tune in again tomorrow for the top 5 things I don't like to hear while dropping the kids off at school.

Oh, the joys of motherhood!

That's a fantastic list. Fantastic, in a cynical way, I mean. (ha, ha!)

Can't wait to hear the next list! ;)

Yeah, that milk one gets me a lot.

Wow! You've got great kids to give you such an early warning! I got "Mom, I don't have any Jeans to wear today!" just this morning!
I did what any good mother would do...dusted off a pair, and sprayed them with lysol! CLEAN!!

The best is "Do we have any poster board? I've got a huge project due tomorrow."

And then you're like, "How long have you known about this project?"

And they're like, "Um. Like for two weeks."

Hey, thanks for commenting on my blog! It brought me to yours & I can so relate!! I guess the only comfort is that we are ALL running around Sunday night trying to fix things at last minute for Monday!! Kids. . . You've got to love them!

Ah... I have heard many of these... aren't kids fun? They keep us young... or something... ;)

Hee hee I wish my kids were old enough to even tell me that kind of stuff. If they don't have clean underwear, it doesn't even occur to them not to tell me, they just don't wear any.

My kids are not old enough to say these things yet.BUT my husband says many of them I really love it when he tells me he is out of underwear! like he doesnt know how to run the wash machine or something. I guess he is just preparing me for the days to come.

Amen to everything on your list! Glad to know it's not just my kids.

My personal favorite is "Mom I don't have any shoes to wear tomorrow because they are to small." My son pulled that one a few weeks ago. I made him wear his church shoes to school.

"I need lunch money."

I'm betting my mom could have written that list. I know I could have. And probably way back in caveman times, some poor mom was: 5. up at midnight having spent the last several hours whacking loin cloths on the rocks after 4. chiselling an her X on one kid's note while 3. digging around the cave floor for material for another kid's homerock project before she 2. ran out to milk the cowasaurus and 1. club whiped the oldest kid who knew he had a book rockport due tomorrow two weeks ago!!

I do truly believe that some things are just timeless! LOL!!
