Things that really bug me

Things that really bug me.

1. Orange construction cones in long lines on the road, causing me to merge into the other lane of traffic.

2. People who completely ignore the signs telling us that everyone will be needing to merge into the other lane of traffic, and speed forward in the lane being eliminated and expect the people at the front of the line (who merged back when they were supposed to) to let them butt in front of everyone else who knew enough to merge back when the traffic was actually moving, thus causing the traffic to move even slower. (because apparently, wherever they need to go is WAY more important than where everyone else needs to go) (and they're stupid)

3. People who let the rude people from #2 in front of them.

4. Getting past all of the construction cones only to discover that there is no construction happening anywhere.

The best compliment that I have received this week.

"I like these cookies, they taste like clay, but better than clay."

uh...sorry, was that you I sped up in front of and then forced you to let me merge?

jk...sorta, usually it's because I gotta pee real bad.

Oh, didn't you know? This summer they changed our state flag to the road cone....and the state motto to: "Lots of cones, no construction". They've been doing that down here in our neck of the woods too.

For some reason, vdot decided to work on I 66 west bound from dc near our exit yesterday afternoon. It was alrady backed up 7 miles when I left town headed east at 2 pm. They were paving one lane, like they can't do that during the night, like they do closer to dc?

I a completly agree with your post. Going through a construction zone like this the other day I kept telling my son, as we were getting passed by the people in #2, "They are not getting in front of me. No way!"

I completely agree and refuse to let those jerks get in front of me too!!

Okay, I am totally going to be hated..... but I found out when attending driving school (yeah I suck, I was speeding), that the law says you are to stay in the lane until the lane ends. The signs are there to warn you that there will be a necessary merging, but they aren't mandating you merge immediately, rather stay in the lane until the lane ends. (in Utah anyway)

A month or so after attending that driving school, my girlfriend totally got a ticket for moving over and blocking the lane so people wouldn't keep going up and butting in. Seems that the first car she blocked was a cop. She flipped him off before she realized her mistake. Let's just say, she was sternly educated.

Okay, let hate comments begin.

For the record, I get why people get irritated. Totally!
