Because I'm such a good mom.............

Have you ever had so many things to do that you decide to make a list of everything, just so you can organize your thoughts and make it easier to accomplish all that you need to do?

Do you then get so overwhelmed by this huge list that you just sit and stare at it, not knowing what to do first?

Do you start adding things to the list like................

Get dressed
Brush teeth
Eat lunch
breathe

Just so you'll be able to cross something off of the list.

Have you ever turned on a movie for your young child so you can get at least a little bit of work finished? (This is the first time I've ever done this. Really, it is............)

Did your young child learn how to push play on the DVD player so he can watch the same movie over,

and over,

and over,

and over,

and over.............

Does your young child memorize this movie, and start speaking only in quotes from the movie?

Here are some not so well known quotes from this movie. Can you guess what movie Max has memorized?

1. Everybody's got a bit butt."

2. "Follow that Nun."

3. "I just wanted to get a look at that cute little outfit you're wearing"

4. "Buenos Dias."

5. "What does it mean? WHAT DOES IT MEAN?"

6. "Could you wire me a bus ticket? I'll pay you back. Honest."

7. "It was the worst wreck I ever seen."

8. "I say we hang him, and then we kill him!"

9. "I'm sorry. Would you care for some gum?"

10. "I don't have to see it, I lived it."

Leave your guesses in the comments.

I got nothing.

I have nothing either. What movie is it??

My lists look eerily similar to yours - stuff just so I can cross it off. Today I'm supposed to be getting two different auto/house insurance quotes. That's all I have to do today (beside laundry) and I can't do it. Bleh.

I think I know, but only because I cheated and googled your quotes. I've only seen it once though, and never would have guessed.

I always swore I would NEVER have the TV be my babysitter. And I knew lots of moms who said they swore they wouldn't let the TV be their babysitter, and then did it and I swore I would NOT be like them. But now I have a kid. And sometimes I just want to take a shower by myself, ya know?

Don't have a clue! That Napoleon Dynamite movie maybe? I actually haven't ever seen it, although the stars brother did come to my oldest's wedding reception. I praise all that is good and holy for the day the boy learned how to run the dvd player, so I am not rewinding constanting back to the same scene over and over, which drives me insane, but he loves.

No idea. Usually I am good with quotes. So I googled it too. Never saw it. So I feel vidicated.

(Oh and I have written things on my list just so I could cross them off. Shhh, don't tell anyone.)

this was a tough one. At first, I thought it was Nemo. ("That's a big butt")

And I looked at my list (that I wrote YESTERDAY), and tried to find the easiest thing to do first! lol. But 'take a nap' is likely to be written on that piece of paper sooner than later, I'm sure of it.

I have one of those lists. It's on the kitchen table. Unfortunately, I'm in the living room and I can't see it. So I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I guess I'll just have to sit here, or possibly take a nap. Or eat something.

I'd make a list, but I can never find a working pen when I need one.

Here are a few additional quotes.

"I know you are but what am I?"

"SHHHHHH! I'M TRYING TO USE THE PHONE!"

"I meant to do that!"

"The Alamo was built without a basement."

Somebody HAS to know this.

Ha, I occasionally write things I've already done that day, just so I can feel good crossing them off :)

OH UGH I know now with the additional quotes because my brothers LOVED good-old Pee Herman - he drove me MAD.

I can't believe I don't know this one! But I bet he really does sound adorable when he quotes it! haha
I make lists constantly, then I break them down as to whats most important, and then my list goes froma list to what I'm going to do each day for the week. I know, it's sad.

Pee Wee's Playhouse?

Sounds familiar but not sure. I posted not too long ago about trying to organize my to-do list. It's only getting bigger by keeping it on my ipod.

Or is it Pee Wee's Big Adventure?
Do I get a prize for knowing?

My DH says it's Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure. Oh, and "Tell them large Marge sent ya"

The Three Amigos?

When my kids were little I used morning cartoons as a bribe. If they were all ready for school on time.....bags packed and by the door, shoes on, etc.....they could watch cartoons until the bus came. Sometimes they watched for two minutes but the incentive was enough.

Should I know this one? Am a bad mother for not knowing?

I also am not knowing the movie. Instead of making lists of what has to get done I make lists of what I have accomplished - and yeah, I put having a shower and doing my hair and/or makeup on there too.

Because I have three kids.

The youngest is 13 months so those things are huge accomplishments. Besides, when you only write down the things you get done all of a sudden there's way more incentive to do things just so you can put them on your list.

Or maybe that's just me....

I have no movie guesses but I have made that list.

My great nieces could turn on the TV before they could walk.
