Proud parenting moment

Last week, Max heard Beyonce's song "Single ladies."
Today as we shopped at a rather crowded Wal Mart, Max was singing at the top of his lungs.......

"IF YOU LIKE IT THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE PUT A RING ON IT! IF YOU LIKE IT THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE PUT A RING ON IT! IF YOU LIKE IT THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE PUT A RING ON IT!

Wo wo wo, Wo wo wo wo wo wo wo................

I hate that song. I'm sure it's adorable to hear a little boy belting it out in the Wal Mart, but to hear your teenage daughters singing it is a little disconcerting. Just sayin'.

I'm sure he could learn some of the rap songs with the really good swear words in it too!

The best part is that Max can really SING!

They always wait until the worst possible moment to do stuff. So did he sound like Beyonce?

That's too funny!

Do you know the "I like to Move it" song that they sing in the Madagascar movies? When my youngest was about 3 she stood up in the middle of church, started swinging her behind all around and sang that song for the congregation. Lovely. :)

We totally need to get him and the Pea together. He can sing, she will dance. She loves that song.

Hahahaha! That Max is such a charmer. That's my favorite song for spin class.

That is too funny. Al Roker on the "Today" show was also commenting about how his little boy sings that song -- much to his dismay.

Well done Max.
Better than:
"It's gettin hot in here, so take off all your clothes" which was sung by a 4 year old in daycare.....Momma had to have a little chat chat.

I love it. I really wish I would have been shopping at your walmart. It would have made my day!!
Could have been even more entertaining-black eyed peas-my lady lumps! Oh yea! The song that all of us moms wish that our preschoolers would memorize.

I love it!

When my son was about 3 he would belt out Shania Twain - all he knew was "Man I feel like a woman".

He is now 14 and still sings odd bits of songs, often getting the words wrong. I hope Max never grows out of this.

This is totally going to be my child. I sing Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" to her regularly and she totally dances to it.
