Antibiotics anyone?

Have you ever felt like your head was going to explode?

The pressure behind your eyes is so great, and you feel that at any moment, your eyeballs might just pop right out of your head and shoot across the room?

And you thought that you might actually feel better if they did?

Two words........... "Sinus infection."

I felt pretty crummy all weekend, and still managed to get the kids to their various activities. I even managed to make it to my nephew's birthday party (so I could eat some chocolate cake shower them with gifts and eat some ice cream sing "Happy Birthday") and we also attended the wedding reception for my hubby's cousin.

Yesterday, however, I was so sick that I was unable to go to church and teach my sweet little Sunbeams.
I stayed home from church and tried to rest, and about 10 minutes after I finally fell asleep, the phone rang. I ignored it and went back to sleep, then my cell phone rang. About the time I got back to sleep again, my family came home. Max hadn't been able to play with my hair for three whole hours, and so he climbed in bed next to me and began twisting my hair around his hand.

Yep, that's just what I need when my head is pounding.
Every time I moved, it was a new experience in pain. And dizziness. And nausea.

This morning, however, I felt SO much better :0)

The sun was shining, the birds were singing, I got the kids to school on time (well, most of them) and my head felt almost normal. I even managed to get some of my regular work done!

Yay me!

In between my work, I managed to read a few blogs however, I may have spent too much time leaving comments for Sue. She wasn't feeling well today either, and I think I may have caught what she has. My ear hurts now, a symptom that I didn't have until I read that she had it.
Thanks Sue. And after all the nice comments I left.............

So, just be warned, I might be contagious also. You may want to wear a mask and laytex gloves while blogging, you know, just to be on the safe side.

Is hypochondria contagious?

(Is hypochondria a word?)

Yes I do know that sinus infection feeling, unfortunately. Hope you are all better soon.

Since you mentioned latex gloves I just had to share this - when collecting my children from school I saw a high school boy walking along the street bouncing a tennis ball as he went. He was wearing a latex glove on the hand he was bouncing/catching with ??

I feel for you.
Sinusitis is NO FUN.
I have a little one who needs to pinch my elbow. At least this is better than when he was little...he needed to have his hand down my shirt...ummm...not a great "look" for mom.
Blessings, EJT

I'm so sorry you were feeling so rotten. I have been there before and that is NO fun at all. Those cute Sunbeams probably would have only made the pounding head MUCH worse:( I hope you get feeling great again!. . . come to think of it, I'm all of the sudden not feeling so well myself! *sigh!

ack! My baby's been sick, now my middle child sounds like he's getting it, the kids I babysit for came over with runny noses and coughs, and my allergies are bad today (so I'll sympathize with the sinus pressure stuff!). Please keep the rest of what YOU have to yourself as I've been exposed to enough stuff! LOL

Oh, and the next time you're feeling inclined to share some blogging love, feel free to post away in my neck of the woods!!! LOL

Have a great day and I'm glad to hear you're feeling lots better!

Welcome to the wonderful world of clogged sinuses! That was my diagnosis, too. Feel tons better since I got lots of good drugs. No longer have to fight the urge to contact gypsies and see if they still take children.

Word to the wise: hot chocolate! It makes you feel better AND it's chocolate. What's not to love?

Sorry about your head. I can really relate. Allergy season is nasty for me. Have you ever heard of a neti pot? It really helps my sinuses. Anyway, good luck and feel better.

Congrats on getting your regular stuff done. I did a lot of laundry yesterday and baked a b-day cake for my girl and felt really good about myself.

Then I was a horrible cranky monster in the night because I didn't get my precious beloved nap. Ah, the joy of newborns. It's a good think I'm wearing a face mask and gloves, sickness and sleep deprivation don't go together very well.

They are a Godsend. I haven't been that sick since and, God willing, because I have generously blessed Sue and am generously blessing you with comments, I will not be that sick in the near future.

I'm currently wearing a doctor's mask as well as the plastic shield you see tv surgeons wearing to keep bodily fluids from hitting them in their eye,

latex gloves covered by ski gloves

and I have encased my computer in one of those clear plastic containers accessible only by little whole for hands - which coincidentally gives me a third set of gloves.

It's possible if all this word verification **&^%%$ stuff is any indication....

I've done it so many times that I no longer have to type out all of the letters. I just type the first one and select the appropriate group of letters from the drop down menu.

You have SO been paid back

And, BTW, I am *so* not leaving enough comments to give you that round even 50.

I'm sorry you weren't feeling good - I hope you are better now!! I laughed at this, "She wasn't feeling well today either, and I think I may have caught what she has. My ear hurts now, a symptom that I didn't have until I read that she had it." - HA - thanks!

Nice to see you - take care- Kellan

Thanks for your comments on my blog! I have a headache tonight and didn't feel like writing much. I hope you don't mind that I (blamed) used you as an excuse for my sinus headache.

PS what is the handicapped symbol doing next to the word verification box below? Do you have an elevator on this site? or an extra large parking space in front if you can't read the "word"??? and why do they call it "word verification" if it's not really a word anyway?!

I feel the need to help you inflate your comments. I hope you are feeling better and I hope you get even more comments!
Cookie has a point you know, nalnth is not a real word.
