e-packrat

Have you ever felt really bad because you haven't received any email for the last 36 hours.
Have you ever just assumed that nobody likes you because you haven't received any mail for the last 36 hours?
Have you become obsessive over checking your mail just knowing that SOMEBODY would send you something.
Have you ever been disappointed because there are still no new emails in your in box.
Have you ever discovered that your mailbox is completely full and not accepting any new emails?
Have you ever spent the entire evening cleaning out your inbox?
Have you ever discovered two very important work emails that you never received because your inbox was full?
Have you ever wondered what else you've missed.

I apologize to anyone who tried to email me today. Try again later............

I wondered why you hadn't responded to my emails, begging you to tell me how amazing I am.

I'm just the opposite. I'm the one who deletes e-mails almost immediately after reading, whether I need them for future reference or not. I'm the one digging through the trash folder looking for the e-mail with the address I need, or the attachment I opened but neglected to save, or the time for my next dental appointment...

you clearly have more friends than me ... but the work people NEVER leave me alone. so I guess it balances out.

LOL. Silly lady. A day without emails is like a day without sunshine. Maybe it is time for a separate account for work?

I hate when I realize that my Junk Mail has been eating important e-mails. I actually won a book in a contest, hear from potential customers asking for information, and for some reason it started eating the e-mails of several of my employees.

E-mail. It's great and evil at the same time.

OOOOH, that sucks!
I keep NOTHING in my inbox, so that's not something I've had to deal with. But good to know, otherwise, that it *COULD* happen. If I, like, didn't check my emails for a month. Or more.

Which never happens, as I probably check every 2 minutes. I'd like to say it's because I'm soooo popular like that, but it's really because I'm that loser-ish. :)

I haven't had that happen, but I helped my sister-in-law dig through her email once looking for an important email for her son's school. It took us 3 hours before she realized she never got it.

Gosh. I tried to email you and tell you I was sending you a thousand dollars, but it came back, so I gave your money to someone else.

I'm a compulsive deleter too. Except in my blog/comment email box. Then I don't delete them. But since I have like 8G of storage in gmail, I don't think I will EVER get enough comments or blog related emails to fill it up. I think right now I'm at .5%. So not too worried.

Are you feeling all refreshed and cleaned out with so much deleted?

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Also, even if my inbox still has room and I go longer than 18 hours without somebody emailing me...my self esteem lowers a bit.
