Calling all crafters

Today we spend the afternoon cleaning out and reorganizing our kitchen closet. This wasn't just a "go through and tidy things up" cleaning, but more of a get rid of everything that we really don't need cleaning.
Aaron really helped with this project and did a great job!

While we were sorting through all of the stuff in the closet, we found several boxes with clear plastic utensils in them. Actually, they were all knives.
Now here's the problem, when the manufacturers package these utensils, they give you equal amounts of knives, forks and spoons. Apparently, we don't use as many knives as we do forks and spoons.

I found a lot of plastic knives today.

I realize that the whole point of cleaning the closet was to get rid of things, but for some reason, I just can't throw away these knives. I can't help but think that there is some really cool craft that I could make with the obscene amount of plastic knives that we have in our house. (Did I mention that last month when we cleaned out our storage room, we found tons of them in there too?)
The question that I would like to ask everyone today is,

What on earth can I make with all of these plastic knives?

If someone comes up with a really good idea, I will make it. I might even start an etsy shop selling plastic knife crafts!!

I got nothing but I googled it for ya. The knife easter bunny craft might just be the thing. Or not.

Ha - the only thing I can think of is to heart attack someone. Maybe this time of year you could do something Christmasy - Santa attack? Christmas tree attack? The knives will be great for a hard, cold lawn.

We, too, suffer from a surplus of plastic knives. I am no help here whatsoever.

Maybe you could make one giant plastic knife out of the smaller knives, and kill Mario Lopez for me.

How about letting the kids use them for disposable play dough tools. If they break, they can toss them.

Hmm...stakes for houseplant ornaments (or out door ornaments), finger painting tools, building the outer wall of a model fort, fencing for a doll house, puppets that will stand up in a piece of Styrofoam or clay that has been hardened with slots made by the knives before the clay hardens...

The only thing that comes to mind are picture frames.

A plastick knife Christmas tree.

A Carrie Barbie Cake with the cake skirt lined with plastic knives.

Break them in half, and use the bottom for a picket fence and the tops for shingles on a gingerbread house. Or break them into tiny pieces and use them as tiles for paths around your gingerbread house.

I too, googled "crafts with plastic knives" and got the easter bunny. I think you could adapt the bunny into a reindeer, for the season! Happy Crafting!

You could glue the bottoms of them together and make a really cool star decoration that you could use as neighbor gifts for Christmas....you're welcome!

donate them to the needy, I'm sure that there is at least one person lamenting the fact that they have no plastic knives.

You'd probably have to use hot glue, but I'd guess you can do popsicle stick crafts with them?

Practical jokes! Take all of them and stick them in the front lawn of a neighbour you don't really care for. Make sure it is dark and that you are quiet so as not to get caught.

I've seen this done with the forks but I don't see why knives couldn't work just as well. :)

I'm with Belovedgoddess - donate them. There is surely a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter nearby. Eveything that they don't have to buy is one more bit of food in a mouth.

As a teenager we used to fork peoples lawns. Now I tie ballons to the surplus knives ans stick thos in peoples lawns.
You could do some Christmas lawns.
