OK! I'LL FINALLY DO A TAG!

Today I was going to post another song by Max.
Unfortunately, he fell asleep at the dinner table and was unavailable for us to bribe him with chocolate to make him sing.

So, instead of hearing that angelic little voice again, I'm going to do a tag!

Here it is, seven of my quirks. (and believe me, I had to think for hours to come up with these)

1. I put sugar on tomatoes. I didn't realize that this was strange until I got married and my husband told me it was strange. My entire family eats sliced tomatoes sprinkled with sugar. (now if you haven't tried it you should. Totally delicious!) I also put salt on apples and cantaloupe.

2. If I put something somewhere, it drives me  absolutely CRAZY if someone comes along and moves it. Seriously people! Don't be moving my things around! (Now that I think about it, that might explain some of Max's OCD like behavior.)

3. I love the smell of a diesel truck. My dad was a truck driver, and this reminds me of him.

4. I talk to myself in the car. I wasn't aware that I did this until Brielle pointed it out to me a few  weeks ago.  I've recently noticed Max doing this too.
I have an uncle who talks to himself all the time. He said it was because he was the only intelligent conversation he could find.

5. I can never remember if I've closed the garage door, so I either drive around the block to make sure it's closed (it always is) or I keep asking the kids "Did I close it? Are you sure you closed it? Are you really sure? Did you actually see it go down, or are you just telling me that so I'll stop asking?"

6. I like liver.

7. I don't like to have any of my food touch on my plate. There are certain food categories that just shouldn't mix. I was fed from a divided plate as a child, and apparently I never got over it.

And there you have it, my very first tag!
I don't tag anyone, because really, I don't think people will actually do this unless they are seriously desperate for ideas to write about because for some reason they had this hair brained idea that they could do NaBloPoMo and actually post every day for an entire month and come up with something interesting to write about during that time.................

Or was that just me?

I do exactly the same thing with the garage door.

also guilty of garage door paranoia. A tag is good every once in a while... I learned seven things about you I didn't know before.

What? no tag backs? Ha! the whole tag thing cracks me up. If you ignore em, you're rude, if you do 'em your...well weird.

As for the sugar, the only person I saw do this was Chinese. So maybe your whole family is?

Sounds like we could all write a whole post about the garage door fanatacism. I talk to myself in the car too, and TK does it! Can we please get them together? Wish I were there...

It's not just you. I'm finding some of the NaNo blogs quite interesting (and by quite interesting I mean not really that interesting) about now.

Wow - I have so much to say.

First - I am happy that you are doing NaBoPooPoo or whatever; I love having new stuff to read from you every day!

Second - I love being tagged; I figure it's the closest I'll ever come to seeing my name in lights - where it should be.

Third - do you really like liver? I literally gasped when I read this. I'm rethinking our friendship....but I think your deep and abiding love for chocolate may be enough to overcome the liver quirk. (gag)

I like salt on watermelon. But I think a lot of people do that.

Oh, and I talk to myself in the car sometimes too. And in my house. And at work.

My dad was a truck driver, too, so I know what you mean about that particular smell that the big rigs have.

And that OCD THING? LOL! Yep, now we know where Max gets it! ;o)

Here's a suggestion for dealing with forgetting whether or not you've closed the garage door, turned off the coffee pot, unplugged the iron or whatever: Get some velcro strips and glue different pieces of felt tabs to several of them. Then affix a different color to each thing you worry about. As you turn it off, shut it, etc., pull off the colored tab and place it on a strip you've affixed to your keychain or wallet or inside your purse, or somewhere. Put them back on the item each time you turn one on or open it up. Then, when you worry, all you have to do is check for the colored tabs to be sure. Yes, it sounds complicated, but you are borderline OCD, right? LOL! So it is totally within your relm of abilities! LOL! ;o)
