Due to the massive amounts of snow that fell last night, we ended up without power for most of the day.

Ha. I love this. I go through the same mental process in a power outage. I also think "Oh, at least I can sew--oh, no I can't." (Hand embroidery maybe. If it's light enough.) I need to get a treadle machine, I guess.

I HATE being limited...electricity, computer, cars, cell phone...anything that doesn't work just sends me in orbit. I'm with you. All services should be up and running 24/7. Always!
I don't know what I'd do in a storm like that. My power probably went out the other night, but I was asleep and didn't need the internet. I WOULD DIE.
It's too bad you don't live right next to a laundrymat that has a generator, and has a long reaching Wifi signal. Not that I would know anything about that.

I remember once (long ago) the power was out and I was resigning myself to a HOT summer day without air conditioning. "Oh, well," I told Larry. "We'll just have to make do with the fans."
And that right there is why I have an internet-capable phone! haha My parents were without power most of yesterday because of the snow, too.
